D-Desy is a revolutionary platform for precision medicine and a more efficient chemotherapy. By ""hiding ""drugs into the patients’ red blood cells it will possible to reduce the toxic peak and obtain a sustained release in time.

A patented disposable cartridge, working at the patients’ point of care, will provide a novel therapeutic opportunity for liquid tumours, reducing of 1/3 the hospitalization costs. The market for lymphoma treatments is expected to reach $ 1.2 billion by the end of 2023. 

The device can work with many existing/novel compounds, being an attractive technology for the pharmaceutical industry. The solution, from a group from bioengineers from Politecnico di Milano, is currently undergoing the preclinical validation.
